I took a break from working on the car last week to do a spot of filming for Welsh language TV up at Caernarfon.

We were on the airfield at Dinas Dinlle and we had the car doing some starts and stops – it was a bit of fun and we’re looking forward to it going out next month.

We’re also looking forward to the new engine arriving this week in time for Rockingham, especially after the disappointment of Silverstone which has seen us lying 12th in the F3 International Championship.

We went there with high hopes but had some major mechanical problems and by the time we had sorted them out the weekend was pretty much a write-off.

There was a problem with the rear dampers which made the car really inconsistent going into corners – sometimes it would handle fine and other times it wouldn’t which made it pretty tricky.

But we’re over that and are expecting the new engine any time now. It is lighter and a bit more powerful so it will give us some more options with weight distribution and we’re hopeful it will help us bounce back at Rockingham.
